    Ukraine surprised by England 'illogical' Poland Euro 2012 base

    Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister has told the BBC he is "surprised" by England's decision to base themselves in Poland for Euro 2012, despite playing their group matches in Ukraine.

    BBC Sport - Ukraine surprised by England 'illogical' Poland Euro 2012 base

    =============

    It is very strange, the Football Association has insisted England will not change their training base despite facing journeys of 930 miles to Donetsk, twice, and 540 miles to Kiev from Krakow. Thats just asking for trouble really and does not help with the training / preparing for games.

    Looks like you will need leave a day before the match is due or early doors for some sort of decent preparation ,

    Maybe the airport in Poland is closer to home after we exit in the group stages?

    Well England will have to be at their best to escape the group stages.

    I don't want them to...Germany, Spain or Holland in the 1/4's would be painful as hell.

    The group will be tough enough for England without the strange choice of base. Aren't they going to change location?

    Me and Haggis are counting these predictable Scotland come backs. That's 1287.
