Or not as the case may be.
u17s - They've been given the shitty end of the stick after winning the first qualifying tournament for the Euros in May - beating top nation Holland to first place (first 2 qualify) but we didn't get into the top seeded pot for some crap reason - we got to the Semis this year and won the bloody thing last year - and still couldn't get in.
As lady luck would have it (the bitch) we have been drawn in the same group as the mighty Spain and only ONE team goes through to the finals. Bit of a buggar to say the least but of course we must soldier on.
Currently we have a couple of injuries to key midfield players Jack Jebb of Arsenal and worryingly (it seems to me) Joe Rothwell of Man U - a serious hip injury.
Leo Chambers of West Ham is a notable defender who has a Ledly King type imperious aura about him - but sadly hasn't got the height of a C/B so will presumably have to move to midfield or full back eventually.
There's a couple of tall promising forwards in Chuba Akpom (Arsenal) and Andy Cole's lad Devante at Man City. And if Liverpool's new signing Jordan Ibe is as good as is claimed they could do with adding him to the squad as well.
