    boro on the up

AFTER a terrific 2011, Tony Mowbray insists his team can get even better in 2012.
Boro are statistically the best- performing Championship side over the calendar year.
But Mowbray is not prepared to rest on his laurels, he wants the squad to make further improvements.
And that’s the desire regardless of any ins or outs during January’s transfer window.
“It’s been a year of improvement, of pushing forward,” said the manager, who last season guided Boro from the relegation zone to mid-table respectability after replacing Gordon Strachan.
“Our philosophy has been one of continual improvement, trying to work with individuals and the team to achieve that.

“Hopefully that can continue in the second half of the season and we can get stronger and better and we won’t be too far away before the start of the season.”
Mowbray wants to bring in a striker and, if finances permit, strengthen other areas of the team in January.

    im so happy its unbelieveable

I head a start before the Peterborough team that from 1st Jan 2011 until 31st Dec 2011 we got 80 points, the only team above us from all the leagues in England was Manchester United with 82 Points!

UTB, would be amazing if we got a win today at Blackpool!

Will be intresting to see what Mowbray does in the transfer window.
Need a few new players in i reckon to push for a promotion place.
We got mashed by Blackpool today and have only been scraping victories lately.

Looks like a good season for Boro. How is Barry Robson doing these days?
