im pleased to see my taxes going to a good cause
I'll be the first to say that it's far too easy & simple to "extort" money outta the government but all i needed to do today was make a 5 minute phone call, answer half a dozen questions give over my bank details & details of my previous employer & i should by all accounts recieve 200 pounds every 2 weeks starting from Feb 5th.
That borders on ridiculous, how easy is that..?
If you have time to explain how easy it is to get benefits to us in an internet forum then you have to much time on your hands.
Look for a job yer bum!![]()
You'll still be sent a letter telling you to go to your local Job Centre for an interview, that's exactly what happened to me after the phone call, I also had to apply for two jobs per week, if you didn't they would go through jobs with you to see if you were suitable.
That was over two years ago, it may have changed, but I thought they were getting tougher.
^ 2 jobs a week?
What is the acceptable amount of time per week you guys reckon to be looking for work if you have none?
6 months out of work applying for minimum wage stuff and still nothing. Enough to make you go fucking mad.

I had to "prove" that I had applied for jobs, they would accept almost anything, copies of e-mails etc, after a while they wanted to know what interviews you had etc.
Do you know that you can claim expenses if you have to travel to interviews while you are unemployed. Also ask mates to ask if places are available where they work, a lot of companies don't bother advertising now they rely on word of mouth, some firms around my way have also adopted the old fashioned situations vacant board outside the works, so it may pay off to take a wander around he business parks in your area.
You'll probably hate this idea, but I picked up my present job by taking part time work, within a year I was upgraded to full time.
Check out the Royal mail website for jobs in your area, they only advertise on line.
Hope this helps
IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE A BIT OF BANTER, THEN BUILD A BRIDGE & GET THE FUCK OVER IT!
Well IMO if you are out of work and claiming bebefits you should be spending 37.5 hours a week looking for work.

There are plenty of jobs available, you just have to drop your standards and work in shit environments, but people who say they have looked for months without finding a job and talking bollocks! People just can't be bothered working for a living. The government makes it easy for people out of work with the benefits. Sometimes it works out better to be off work than be working.

I agree...If someone truly wanted to work then they would take any job until they found what they wanted.
