Doncaster striker Billy Sharp has joined Championship rivals Southampton for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old had been linked with a January move to Leicester but that deal fell through, while he was also offered a new contract at Doncaster.
Sharp has scored 10 goals in 20 appearances this season and was signed from Sheffield United in July 2010.
The former Scunthorpe striker arrives on a three-and-a-half-year deal and will wear the number 11 shirt.

Good signing for them, why didn't we make an offer for him.
