Hope you feel better now:
..Something I have to get of my chest and so posting is the next best thing!!!!
I don't like watching England play, we lack the bite that Robbo, Incey, Butcher, Gazza and the likes used to inject into the team but what really gets to me is the attitude of some of our English players.
Shearer started it all off and now he has the cheek to be all High and mighty about our disastrous National team.
The point being how some players choose NOT to play for the National team. Some (as Shearer did) use the excuse they want to prolong their club career (Scholesey is doing that now!!) others take the hump because they weren't considered good enough (Carragher). Carragher is now saying he likes the break now of International week so he can spend time with the family!!. Er, HELLO!!!.... Don't you train half a day then have the rest of the time with your families?!!
Pity the future.
Ince admittedly is doing well in Management at a lower level but has already said he doesn't want to be involved in England and wants to be out of management in 10yrs so why do these Ex-pro's whinge on about a "foreign" manager???? I'm ranting a little now so I'd better finish, perhaps I'll add again later.....
Hope you feel better now:
yes: It Helped
you raise good points though so not really a rant
Yes, our Beautiful game has changed forever....
The premier league is full of Non English players, all the Top managers are Non English so it's not "our" game anymore..and we've not won anything since '66 so personally good on Capello. If the English players/managers can't do it for us then let's welcome Capello with open arms!!!
It's only Scholes and Carragher who've decided to call it a day. Not sure what your problem is.
...it's the attitude that they don't care playing for the National team enough that suggests we'll never achieve whilst that mentality is harboured.
Carragher should roll up his seelves and show his fighting spirit, that's the attitude we need.
In a similair way with the English Managers, if you took away the Scots, Welsh and Irish who do we have? Allardyce and Curbishley, is that the best we can do???
...Oh another thing while I'm ranting. Emmanuel Petit was right also when he questioned commitment to the cause by mentioning how odd it was that John Terry wasn't fit to play for England in their crucial game but was fit enough 3 days later to play for Chelsea!!!!!!!
That's what I'm getting at, where's the pride of playing for England gone?????..lost amongst their many millions of pounds, flash cars, swanky nights out, fast women etc......
:eusa_clap: A miraculous recovery then!
