How far will we go now?

How far will Capello take England in the next World Cup.
Can he install something that’s been missing in English players recently. Can he take them to the quarter finals, the semi finals or even the final?

Before England can reach their potential in a major tournament the expectancy levels need to drop. I blame the Media for building them up so much. People have to accept we are not good enough at the moment! An example of the pressure generated is how we are now talking about finals & Semi-finals in the next World Cup before the Euro Championships (that we failed to qualify for out of possibly weakest group) have started.
The moment the Players realise they have no divine right to win & stop believing their own hype will be the moment that England begin to progress.
Qualifying for the World Cup must be the 1st goal. That would be an achievement!

Well said. I agree with you. The expectancy levels DO need to drop. That's why I say, can Capello bring something to the English game that has been missing? But maybe targets should be aimed at, like reaching the finals of the World Cup?

Capello has a reputation as a real taskmaster... The players probably won't like him much, but if it means they'll play with more discipline and play harder, then so be it.

JUSTICE FOR BETSY, THE VINTAGE CONDOM MOULD!
