Benitez says scrap the xmas period

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez wants to scrap the christmas festive fixture list and Harry Redknapp has joined him in a quest to stop the fixture list which apparently is causing their star players to be physically unfit for their next games. Christmas fixture list consists of 4 games in 10 days.

It won't be scrapped, so i don't know why he has wasted his time, writing to FIFA or the F.A.

It just won't be happening, it's been going on for decades and nobody has ever moaned before. why is it going to change now, he'll have to have every manager in the Football League to agree with him, just like the TV Rights with Glazer.

He should be used to it now, he's been in this league for 2 and a half seasons now.

Football should always be about the fans so you have to look at it from the fans point of view..

Positives
Fans have time-off work anyway
Chance to get away from in-laws/family

Negatives
Most people are skint at Christmas
Christmas is a family time blah blah blah
People don't see best football because the poor little millionnaires are tired

I've never ever been to a boxing day game and get a bit annoyed because I'm always away but overall, you can tell people love football over christmas so I think it's a good thing

aaah, the players get tired. FFS, grow up. I'd play 4 games in 10 days everytime to get that amount of money a week. Jesus. Football players dont know what they've got till its gone.

It's a tradition for the english leagues, nothing beats the boxing day fixtures, this years going to be the 1st time for a few years i haven't been on boxing day, always a great afternoon to get out the house and work off the pounds!
Not suprised it's Benitez who's come out with the idea, all he does is moan about injuries and changes he wants made.

Is it me or is Benitez constantly complaining, basically wanting to change the English league to be more like the Spanish, this is OUR league, this is how we play it. Get used to it and sod off whinging.
