ko 6pm this evening. Looks like none of RM's big guns will be turning out but they will still be a class outfit no doubt. Think I'm correct in saying the last time we played them was 1963 in the European Cup....they beat us 0-1 at Ibrox courtesy of a Puskas goal then skelped us 6-0 in Madrid.

Was on another site earlier where it was mentioned that in the return leg Real played the game on their training ground.

Do you or Mak have any info on this?

Rangers then travelled to Spain for the return match, but fell to a 6-0 loss at the Bernabeu.

Puskas bagged a hat-trick in the second leg, with Evaristo, Paco Gento and Felix Ruiz also on the scoresheet.

most certainly not mate....RM were best club side in the world round about that time.....was it only 3 years previous they destroyed Eintracht Frankfurt at Hampden, the team who destroyed Gers in the semi that year.

SUBS: McCrorie, Bassey, Itten, Simpson, Patterson, Kamara, Jones, Balogun, Kelly, Arfield, Middleton.

Mak....you heard anything regards Morelos ? Seen a snatch of interview yesterday on SSN with Stevie G who said basically he didn't know when Morelos was returning....I find that quite disconcerting....our supposed main striker....no pre season with the club and the start of the defence of the title a week away ?

All I know is SG is not happy with him at all. This coming week may tell us more

What to say, i don't want to get carried away but i am chuffed to fuck with that performance.

Is Gerrard a genius, what a pre season build up, a PL team yesterday, Real Madrid today things couldn't be any better.

The SPL must be trembling and Europe awaits.

OK it may have been a Real 'B' team but we played them off the park.

Proud of the Gers today.

well after that display at the Glitterdome yesterday, I don't believe we have anything to fear from them! Most pleasing for me was the fact that the pedo formerly known as Griffiths was actually booed extensively by the Celtic fans....now if that don't tell the piece of scum how he is thought of down Kerrydale Street, then nothing will. As you say SP, an excellent display today.....Patterson continues to improve, Itten is flourishing. But................am I the only one that gets pissed off with Kamara at times ? Gets the ball, mainly just outside the box, but just does NOT have the confidence to shoot even when an opening beckons....he gives the ball away too often in dangerous positions for my liking......and he also, when the momentum is building going forward, slows the game back down....Aaaaargh!
