Mountain Biking

Recommended Posts

Looks nice mate, I'll upload some when I go on my next ride.

Need to test my bike but it was blowing a gale yesterday and it's pissed down all day today.

Once I know its okay, I'll be taking the dog with me, hopefully I don't run her over haha!

I've done half the camel trail from Bodmin to Padstow, it's a nice flat ride, I done it in the drizzle though, drove from Plymouth on a day off work. Thoroughly enjoyed it though.

Another good bike ride is the Grand Union Canal BB.

Start in London then it goes all the way to Central Brum. The route is approx 135 miles as it branches out toward Leicester and Northampton.

It took me 2 and a half days and isn't as easy as you might think. It didn't help that I got wankered in a Wetherspoons in Milton Keynes after the first day though.

Hahaha, nah I never drink if I'm going on a bike ride, just feel like shite.

I'm going to treat ,myself to one of these when the cycle scheme opens at work again.

Bombproof and the best all rounder out there IMO.

What type of bike is that? I prefer dust tracks, riding over the hills.  But the weather has to be good as if your on the top of the moors and its blowing a gale, its horrible!

It is a Genesis Croix de Fer.

Cyclo cross bike. Will do anything. Roads, touring, off road. Does the lot at a good standard.

Oh right, bet that costs a bit though.

I'm just sticking with my mountain bike until it fucking dies!

Not heard of the cycle tow rok scheme, Why pay you to cycle to work. Does the government have to look like it cares about the environment?

A tenner a week is alright though.

Most reputable companies do it now.

NHS did it and no doubt Land Rover do too.

It is an incentive to get less traffic on the roads and prom healthy living.

None of that helps the three cyclists who died trying to get to work in London on bikes last week though.

Our country stops short in heavily investing in dedicated cycle routes...Probably cos most of em can walk to Parliament from their penthouses or get a lift in a state paid for limousine.

Yeah your right, the government doesn't give a shit about cyclists. But most people hate cyclists and more cyclists are cunts. I'd say the 3 cyclists who died, did so due to their cycling. You see them going through red lights, weaving in and out of traffic if they just cycled normally and carefully then they wouldn't have incidents or fatalities. Undertaking lorries on a bend is just asking for trouble, being just to the side of a lorry is asking for trouble and certain death as the lorry driver can't see you. Cyclists who use the roads should have to have some kind of insurance.

This is the first bike i have had with carbon forks. It makes a huge difference.

The stuff is so strong and light as well. Specialised add patented zertz into their fork too which is a killer touch. Aids flexibility.

You burn more calories in the rain.

I never let that put me off. All part of the fun!

I'm definitely cycling on Monday, I want to get back into it as I do enjoy it loads.

It is a great way to exercise mate.

Can't beat a fully loaded bike and a full day's riding.

Yeah not had a days riding for ages. Used to always go out for long rides with my dad when I was a teen. Loved it. I can't go too far with the missus or the dog as they'll be fucked after it. I can ride forever me like. I'll have to plan a ride for just me on the Cleveland hills sometime, maybe along the Cleveland way.
