Ticket Allocations for Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox and Parkhead

Recommended Posts

Easy for me to say but since they stopped the away allocations the atmosphere (on the telly at least) has diminished. There's gonna be a lot of unhappy fans with this news.

League announcement-
Old Firm games will now have a 5% ticket allocation from next season
NO allocation for remainder of this season
Roughly translates - Ibrox 2500 tickets, Parkhead 3000
Ibrox Season ticket holders in compromised Broomloan areas are NOT guaranteed an Old Firm ticket from next season & club will write to them with various options including permanent seat moves this summer
Safety measures will be in place including netting and new turnstiles procedures at Ibrox to facilitate this, Safety measures will be in place at Parkhead also. Rangers will remain in traditional allocated corner just slightly extended further round than current allocation
Both clubs have negotiated this solution after League and broadcasters stepped in.

Rangers Fans are born, we are not manufactured, we do not choose, we are chosen, those that dont understand dont matter, those that understand need no explanation.

We are the chosen few, We Are The People!

Back in the good old days when standing was allowed the atmosphere at both venues was electric.
Made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.

Mind you, the crowds were double what they are today.

my first New Year Old Firm game was 2/1/1969 at Ibrox...85,000............been at 2 or 3 120-130,000 cup finals at Hampden against them. As you say, the atmosphere was different class.
