FA Cup Draw - Sixth Round (Quarter Final)

28 posts in this topic

Chelsea v Manchester United

Middlesbrough v Man City

Tottenham Hotspur v Millwall

Sutton U / Arsenal

Fixture dates and times may change, subject to TV selections and replays

Great FA Cup tie for Chelsea and United!! Boro at home again would be great to see Sutton win tonight so they play Lincoln.

I'm now excited about this, haven't been excited about a cup run for a while, think that's because boro have not been in one for a while!

They are in the last 8 as the are top teams!

So, live things on TV can't be fixed?

The potential semi finals are a TV companies dream....

I rest my case entirely.

Can't say I'm happy about playing Chelsea but I suppose you've gotta beat them to have a chance of winning it anyway. Arsenal are super stuffy, I've got a sneaky feeling Wenger will win it and leave as a winner.

Ludicrous we're playing on a Monday night when we're playing on Thursday of the same week, no wonder the players are out on their arses. The FA and tv are doing their best to fuck up any chance we have of progression in the FA Cup and Europa, no way can we field a full strength side in all three.

9th March - Rostov (Away)

13th March - Chelsea (Away)

16th March - Rostov (Home)

You telling me, 4 days off isn't enough, even if it isn't, you have a big squad. This is just the cons of being a top side still in Europe and the domestic cup. I'm sure you don't have a standard 11 players who play every week. Yeah, it would have made sense to put you at the weekend but that's just one of the problems that comes with success. .

Believe it or not, we don't rotate that much. We should be playing on Sunday, the FA do nothing to help the English clubs progress in European competition.

And given the prize involved with winning the Europa, United have no choice but to concentrate their attentions on that competition. Therefore the FA risk us fielding a weakened team in the FA cup against Chelsea.

It's Middlesbrough v Manchester City today, i can only see us getting humped. But saying that we sometimes up our game and play good football against the better teams.

Got my fingers crossed for the Boro today, I do think City will win but I hope you give them a run for their money.

I think Monday has actually worked out for the best for us. Travelling back from Russia, we need the extra day rest. Can't see the home game in Europa being too much of a drain on our resources. I am looking forward to the Chelsea game but I can't see us getting anything. We're tired and without Zlatan, they're fresh and have been our bogey team for decades. 2-0 Chelsea

6-0 Spanking for the Wall, all passed surprisingly quietly.
