London Tower Block Fire

Recommended Posts

How the fuck does a fire spread so fast in a building like this?

Is this the council not spending money on Fireproofing a building like this. If the flats next to this one are exactly the same then they need to be condemned ASAP.

I wonder if it was deliberate?

Absolutely awful scenes.

From what little information is available right now, it certainly appears dodgy.

Lots of money spent on beautifying a council block while they apparently ignored pleas for sprinklers and other safety measures. Nearby fire stations were also closed down by Boris Johnson as part of austerity. Other outlets suggesting MPs ignored reports on safety concerns for months

The poor pay the price as always

The nearby fire stations were probably closed because they hardly get call outs. More need to be shut imo. The closure of the station probably had no effect on this fire as it took hold very quickly from the start.
