I've turned on email notifications for members so when someone replies to their messages you will be notified instantly. I'm just testing it to see if it increases the activity on the forum. I know it makes me visit the forum more when someone replies to my messages and I get an email telling me that.

Are people getting the emails?

That's good, you can always unsubscribe from the messages if you get too many. I just find it really useful when someone replies to one of my topics as I get a notification on my phone and I can see their reply straight away.

It's good at the moment as the forums are quiet so I don't get that many emails, it would be a problem if the site got busier, I'd have to turn them off then!

I've been getting a few. I've turned them off, will it still happen for posts I'm already subscribed to?

It shouldn't do, if you've unsubscribed from them, you can unsubscribe in the email.

Let me know!
