Hedge Hogs - Out during the day!!

Recommended Posts

Admin

I have two little ones in my garden at the moment. We had a big fat one last year (which lives under some decking in a neighbors garden) but always was in ours. So I guess the little ones are its offspring. I've looked up if they should be out during the day and they shouldn't unless there is a problem, we've put down some dog biscuits and a bowl of water to help the little fellas (or women). The hound is very interested in them, sometimes sniffs and barks at them, which can't be good for them lol.

They look healthy so i'm not too worried about them.

They are a big carrier of fleas, so watch your dog doesn't catch them.

They can't catch fleas from them. Their fleas are host specific.
