Recommended Posts

This league is well watched, average across the league 20k so far.

Compare that to Serie A 24k, Ligue 1 22k, Primera 27k. unbelievable jeff :)

Germany 44k, Premier League 38k way out in the lead.

Holland 18k
Belgium 11k
Portugal 12k
Russia 13k
Brazil 16k
German 2nd div 17k.

Makes you think, why the hell does this league not have proper TV shows etc.

I do find it strange how little coverage the Championship gets on both TV and the written press here. If someone took it seriously and made a good highlights/discussion show then they could do really well.

I heard this week that the PL is struggling to pull in viewing figures for games not involving the top 6. Teams like Bournemouth, Hudders, Brighton etc don't have the same draw as a club like say Villa, Leeds, or even Boro & Sunderland do. There are a lot of huge well supported clubs in the Championship now, its a big market.

The support for Football in this country is crazy, we've got four full pro leagues and a mixed league for our 5th division.

Some of the grounds in the conference are easily good enough to be top division stadiums in Holland and Scotland.

Ha, it was a cut and paste that. I did laugh when I read it, not because it isn't true, I laughed because it would wind you up :)
