Driving-Mobile Phones.

On my return from work this afternoon ( finish at 13-30) I drove past a queue of cars on their lunch time commute  and noticed 6 drivers, eyes down on their mobiles.

That is 6 out of approx 50-60 cars.
5 women and 1 man, all approx under 30 yrs of age.

It's a bad habit that people can't let go.

Be careful out their people.

Hopefully they will all crash and injure themselves and void their insurance, hopefully crashing and not injuring the innocent people out there. I have no time for people on their mobiles.

I see ‘eyes down’ so much these days, less people with it to their ears but so many checking it the minute they stop in traffic.

What on their FB feed is so important they can’t wait till they get home. Bugs the shit out of me. I can only assume they think ‘I’m not moving so I can play with my phone, not dangerous’. There is an argument that it isn’t as they aren’t moving, but I believe it just normalises the behaviour and means the phone is always is in their lap and they will not be able to resist having a look when the notification that someone has liked a picture pings.

It’s just not that important. It’s a wider thing, with people considering any notification or update o their phone is more important than what or whoever is in front of them in real life.
