Doing a bit of gardening

Don't 'live' on the canal as in a barge....my back garden backs onto the Forth & Clyde canal which is a cyclist/walkers dream. Between our fenced off back garden and the towpath there is a large garden area which my wife (mainly) and a neighbour try their best to keep tidy.

I have always fancied cycling that canal.

I see Roger has his Mrs all decked out in green and white today. :facepalm-hand-gesture-smiley-emoticon:

braw day so I'm going to get the edging done and grass cut...probably leave the hedge until tomorrow.

Tell yez....that was hard going today.....the heat was very uncomfortable and to compound matters the mower (electric) went on the bling.....turned out a wire in the plug had got loose....started back up but then fucking conked out.....managed to get the grass done but the mower is fucked, looks like something with the power handle that no way can we even consider trying to fix. Doesn't owe us anything as we've had it for around 20 years. So we're going to get a new one on Wednesday.....one we're looking at is £90 at Argos.

Seems a bit cheap for a lawnmower dug, is that not the price you paid 20 years ago?:flashing-lol:

Mate if you shop around you can get a very decent petrol mower for £120.

So much better than electric.

I've no doubt mate but I specifically want an electric one. They are lighter and easier to manouver and due to the lay out of a section of the garden it is far easier with an electric one. We had a petrol one but gave it to friends last year rather than them buy a new one.

Electric is far more convenient and quieter. Nothing worse than having your Sunday siesta disrupted by petrol mowers and strimmers!

Great weather today so got the hedge trimmed (thankfully it was cloudy and cool at the time) so the garden, if I say so myself, is looking particularly tidy thanks to my wife's efforts and my labouring. The wife also does the towpath garden and it's nice when walkers and cyclists stop, have a look and give appreciative comments. Pity some dog walkers won't stop and pick up the dogs' shite which they allow to be deposited in the garden! Cunts!

Oh fucking totally.

I just have no time for dog shit! I would actually start locking offenders up in a cell full of it.

Nice that you do that mate! Good citizen!
