New scooter time

Recommended Posts

I have decided to treat myself to a new scooter as mine is two years old now.

Not sure whether to stick with the Honda and its rock solid reliability or go with a Vespa.

What do you guys prefer?

In my opinion  they are both feckin horrible looking things. They look like disabled wheelchairs almost. I would call them mopeds rather than scooters. I wil stick to driving one of these.

I am not seeing anything that reminds me of a wheelchair.

The Vespa has small wheels which means I will feel a lot more of the bumps in the road.

Currently I am leaning towards the Honda.

Just my opinion, i think they look shite, and nothing like the classic Lambretta, and Vespa's of old. Also small wheels generally, by all expert opinion's anyhow, are far smoother over bump's than larger wheel's. 21 inch alloy's on a car, on our potholed roads, can shake tho bones a fair bit, unless you have JLR, technology, or BMW's adaptive damper control. Now don't jump down my throat here. What i am stating is the general opinion of 99% of motoring journalists.

Nah, not buying that. Large wheels offer a far more stable ride.

I know as I ride a scooter.

Never fancied a scooter when I was younger. Had a Honda 250cc motorbike many years ago....good machine.

Honda are bomb proof.

As for bigger wheels they are definitely more stable.

That is why the big wheel was at the front on a Penny Farthing and also why those stupid fast Japanese machines all have large wheels.

They must be great in rush hour on our congested roads.

They certainly are. I get home quicker than all the cars.

aye the Honda would have such a good reliability record  and it looks reasonable too

Yes, the Honda reliability is unsurpassed by European manufacturers.

I rode mine down to the isle of white and round it last year. Never missed a beat.

I would never buy a bike, you can't trust half the cunts on the road. Least in a car if you are hit by one of the many cunts on the road, you have a good chance of surviving the crash rather than being a mangle wreck!

Isn't that what I have worked hard for over the years?

I have no mortgage, kids are grown. Mrs has a good job.

You seriously need to reengage your memory fella, A few month's ago you had a brand new Ford Mondeo (which you said was bomb proof and posted pics of your new mountain bike). Like @boro_boy told you when he let you back on here, stop with the bullshit. A final word from me, if you are gonna be a liar, you should have a good memory. Trian your brain, then you may be taken seriously. I have no problem with you, i just cannot stand the constant bullshit you spout. And before you get on your high horse about it, just think of the many many of your posts i could quote to make you look silly.

No, you look silly.

The Mondeo went on arrival of the Grandson.

We needed an SUV for ease of access with baby seat also the wife wanted something higher off ground.

You are boring in your attempts to start trouble.

The facts are I am having a new scooter. Let's stick to those.
