Real Madrid are considering an offer of about 100m euros (£88m) from Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 33-year-old Portugal forward is Real's all-time top scorer with 451 goals.

However his age, and Real's need to reshape a squad that finished 17 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona last season, has encouraged the Italian champions to make their move.

Ronaldo won his fifth Champions League title with Madrid in May.

Thoughts on this?.

Even at his age, he is still one of the best players in the world, still scoring goals and probaly has another 2/3 years in him as a top rated world class player.

that's some money for a 33 year old but how long has he got left on his contract ? A great player yeah and would score goals wherever but.....and this is the main point......irrespective of whether Real want to shift him on or not he can simply turn round and say NO I don't fancy Italy....simple. Tbh I actually prefer Ronaldo to Messi.

This comes up at nearly every transfer window.

I think he will stay at Madrid.

33 is very old, he's still a fantastic player though.

How long for though?

88 million for a 33 year old?

What a joke!

Looks like the 2 teams have agreed a fee of £99.2m which will see him sign a 4 year deal!

Read elsewhere that he has signed....over £100 mill fee. Four years ? FFS!

Hi, I'm new here.  I'm Juventus fan since 2001 ( I was six years old)

Going to show my viewpoint on this transfer.

Ronaldo is a great player that's for sure. Anyway, I think that he is not a good choice for Juve. The reason is simple. Since he joined Real, the whole team and club were working for him, giving him freedom and making goal chances for him. Here is the problem, Juventus has never been dependent on one player, they always show good teamwork and a united collective. And this is why I think that the transfer won't be successful enough for both Ronaldo and Juve. Hope I'm wrong

Hey Richie, welcome to the forum.

Do you not think that Juvenile relied very, very heavily on Buffon over the years?

hmm, you have point, but the overall style of play wasn't dependent by him or a single player as it was in Real. Anyway, they were bloody relying on Buffon but it was just because he was capable of this. When we talk for dependence from a player I mean a field player. You know how Barca and Argentina every single attack is going trough Messi so that was what I meant
