Yeah you can get some friends where both clubs are from the same country. 

Just guess because it falls under club friendlies, it's just the way it is.

Yes you can Indeed but it would be a domestic friendly.

For it to be international the team's would have to be from different countries.

I know mate, its supposed too be about getting ready for the season. Play players to see their ability etc. Play teams the same level as their league opponents.
