Is it tie to ban Horse Racing?

Never, ever going to happen.

Horses run because they enjoy it. If they didn't then they wouldn't run.

Oh and another small matter why it will never be banned is...

Horseracing is worth about £1.1bn to the UK economy — £3.4bn if all the indirect benefits are included, according to a 2013 study by Deloitte commissioned by the British Horseracing Authority.

201 horses died last year racing. Multiple have died since January. Two died on Thursday or Friday this week.

It's barbaric and it's not even a "sport".

Totally agree, the fences at the National are ridiculous and should ban the hurdles, stick to flat

Sir Erec died at Cheltenham a few weeks back after snapping it's leg in two after the first jump, horrendous, the poor horse run on for a few secs with it's leg flapping about

Yeah they may like running and jumping but some of the jumps are dangerous. Its always sad to see a horse put down! Maybe not ban it but reduce the height of the jumps. The jockeys push the horses too hard IMH.

It's the sport of Kings, the rich and famous...... Never be banned despite those shocking figures, they are shocking, even to me, animal welfare is rarely high on my list of priorities......

It's like a list of Horse casualties from the Charge of the fucking light brigade.......

If, The Plebs run it, and the rich and famous had no interest,  it would get a very different narrative in the media, but the ladies will put their finery on next year and cheer on the winners while the fallers get the screens and a bullet, while we all rejoice at the splendid event......
