Few extra sovs...excellent. May be wrong here but is it something to do with soap manufacturing you work at ?

Why do they always take two steps back before marching off?

I’ve never seen the 12th parade as every time I was there I was in it. When you stop on Lisburn Road and look back down it is some sight

Miss the band days but she won’t let me go back lol .

Miss the 11th night ... Bonfires , street parties, drinking way too much. What’s not to like.

This year I ll be at the Scottish Open but I am sure me and my mate will have a few beers / ciders to celebrate our religious freedom. He’s an East Belfast lad even though he supports fucking St Mirren.

Sitting in a wee cafe on my way back from Rossnowlagh (County Donegal). Taking photographs for the local papers.  Of the OO parade It’s always a great day this one see all sorts of strange mixtures guys with GAA tips on having a beer with guys in one of the lodges etc. Never seen any bother here either. Then again a few folk who I know that have walked in it make the point that it’s pretty laid back and no triumphalism in it.

That's good Mak & the way it should be.

Bollocks. It should all be about triumphalism and celebrating our freedom from Papish tyranny

and because there is so much triumphalism from both sides, that continues to force feed the hatred between people.

Never really had it down as Triumphalism.......

More to do with culture and nationality, guess folk take what They want from it....... to suit.

However, if I wish to to have a wee drink or two and watch the bands, it ain't bringing triumphalist towards anyone, especially towards any of the many Catholics I know...... I know you're reacting to Maks post,  were he implies its trumphalist, yet the good folk of Donegal do it good and proper.....but thats the kind if narritive the media would push......
