SP....just for your info....I've just noticed that I had put a home win St Mirren v Aberdeen for tomorrow. This was an error and I've changed it to away mate.

And as usual the "afters"

Celtic 3 Ross County 0
Celtic manager Neil Lennon hailed "talismanic" Odsonne Edouard after the striker played despite a toe injury to inspire the Scottish Premiership leaders to victory over Ross County.
Edouard was only fit enough for the bench but netted twice within five minutes of coming on to seal a 3-0 win

Motherwell 0 Hibernian 0
Motherwell opened a five-point gap over fourth-placed Aberdeen despite being held to a frustrating home draw by Hibernian.

Reactions from both sides.
Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson: "I think we should have had three points. Some of our build-up play was brilliant today. If we had a 20-goal striker, we would have won the game today.

"I have to credit their goalkeeper - the save he makes to stop Christy Manzinga is brilliant. It was a fantastic save. Sometimes you can't do any more than that."

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross: "It was a hard-fought match against a good team in very good form. We came here to win - we started with two strikers - but there wasn't a huge amount of opportunities for either side.

"Given where we were not so long ago and the progress we've made in the past 10-12 games, it's another point to our total."

Hamilton 2 Livingston 4

Livingston consolidated fifth spot in the Scottish Premiership as they came from behind at Hamilton to secure a fourth consecutive victory.

Livingston 'hungrier and more aggressive'

Hamilton Academical head coach Brian Rice: "It was very difficult for us as we've got five first-team regulars missing from the team, we were down to the bare bones and I didn't have a defender on the bench.

"There's no doubt Livingston deserved to win. They were hungrier and more aggressive. I've got no complaints about the penalty. Bobby Madden is one of the best referees in the country, he has seen a hand ball and given a decision he thinks is correct."

Livingston manager Gary Holt: "The resilience to going a goal down even though we started the game well and go ahead then score two goals after they drew level again, I've got to take my hat off to their level of commitment and sticking to the game plan and what we're good at.

"We got the result the performance deserved and hopefully that will kick us on for the rest of the season."

St Johnstone 2 Kilmarnock 1

David Wotherspoon's late strike earned St Johnstone a Scottish Premiership victory over Kilmarnock to consign Alex Dyer to a fifth straight loss as boss.

'We're not good enough' - reaction

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright: "Today was about getting back on track and finishing the day level on points with Kilmarnock and I couldn't have asked for any more from the players.

"For the penalty, it's not in the box. He throws himself in. I'm just glad the players were able to put that behind them in the second half."

Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer: "We're not good enough at the moment. I'm not saying they are not giving 100% but it's 100% of what they've got and, at this time, it's not good enough.

"It's not a quick fix. It's about working hard on the training pitch and trying to get one or two [new players] in."

St Mirren Aberdeen 0 - 0

Both managers frustrated - reaction

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin: "When you take a point from the Old Firm or Aberdeen it's a positive, but I don't remember my goalkeeper being tested too much.

"I'm frustrated in that we didn't create enough clear-cut opportunities. I'm delighted that my team managed to stand up to Aberdeen's physical threat."

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes: "I thought we controlled the game. Defensively I thought we were solid throughout. I thought we passed the ball well, we got into some threatening areas but we didn't work the goalkeeper enough. It's stuff we've been speaking about for a period of time now where we have to make more of our possession.

"We came here and did a lot right. But getting a point is frustrating because I thought we had enough possession to get more from the game."

And finally

'I didn't recognise us' - Gerrard

FT: Hearts 2-1 Rangers

Today's loss was Rangers first league defeat away from home this season, and it's fair to say that manager Steven Gerrard is not pleased.

Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, Gerrard said today's performance is difficult to sum-up: "It was certainly a poor performance. I didn’t recognise us from the start of the game to the finish. Hearts deserved the win, they’ve rushed us off the pitch, they’ve rattled us. They’ve dominated us in the ugly side of the game.

"You can lose a football match but when you don’t recognise your players it’s a bit of a shock."
