Cheltenham Festival 2020

Recommended Posts

Well, that's it come round again. Anyone having a punt of any of the races ? I'm going to have a few e/w bets...have hardly looked at horse racing since last Cheltenham so it's basically just for an interest nowadays.

These are my horses for today. Interestingly enough Might Bite who is in no form at all and I do not for a second see him beating Tiger Roll in the 4:10 was second in the Gold Cup to Native River a couple years back and that is the cream of jump racing prizes. This represents a huge drop in grade for him so 14/1 that I saw this morning represents huge EW value.

I had him to. Might Bite pushed him all the way tho. The race today is for nags in comparison.

How did you do over the week mate ? I came out in front....not a lot but still in front. It's the sheer enjoyment of the week and having a few snifters that I enjoy.

Redeemed myself today.

Had a 15p EW Yankee on:

Allmankind

Buildmeupbuttercup

Thyme Hill

Santini

That paid just £21.71 then I also had a 35p EW accumulator on same four horses which was another £13..30

Also, had a £1 EW on Shantou Flyer, Pileon and The Bosses Oscar paying £2.31, £3.50 and £4 respectively.

That put me about a tenner up for the week, so got this bad boy and a bottle of red with my winnings.

On a separate note sad to say that is probably the last big sporting event the public will be at in a while.

I expect the Grand National to be run behind closed doors. Can't really postpone it as the ground will get too hard for the horses to land in and would no doubt cause injury or death.

Doubt if the Grand National will go ahead mate....the course (business) depends on the attendance over the 4 days & although there would be on line betting available the amount of money that actually physically is bet on course is astronomical and would be a bullet to the smaller bookies that depend on 'on course' betting.
