Virtual Grand National

Recommended Posts

They are doing a virtual Grand National where a computer program runs the race based on form, going, age, weight.

Maximum bet is a tenner and all proceeds to charity. I believe it is on ITV at 5:15.

I have had £5 EW on Kimberlite Candy @ 16/1.  A bit of fun to look forward to later.

Yeah, it is 5.15....the wife pointed out to me that this was happening. I take it is the horses who were entered this year ? I'm sure a few years ago they did one with previous winners....Red Rum, L'Escargot etc etc. Sure Red Rum won. I don't bet this race plus the bookies are closed so I can't if I wanted....

Did the bookies actually pay out on this farce?

Yes....and any profit they made is being donated to the NHS I believe. They make no money from it as far as I am aware.

SP....I don't know if you are aware or not.....but this kind of virtual horse racing is shown EVERY morning (perhaps in afternoon also but I only go in the morning) in bookies shops EVERY day and people do actually bet on them. My old man used to call them the cartoons.
