You gambled when you supported Birmingham instead of Villa!! Bet you wish you were a Villa fan!

Great!

This is bad and I would rather play them to fight out relegation than see a club go to the wall.

Maybe start to win some games, generally helps?

Yeah but having a shit manager doesn't help. With Warnock I'm hoping he can keep us up.

Is it a good idea to punish clubs in financial difficulties?

I'm not convinced a 12 pt drop is the way to go.

Yes but they set their budget well before current problems and should live within their means. As per the rules!

Yeah I agree with that.

A 12 point deduction doesn't help them, but they know the rules!! If you can't manage your money properly you'll go into administration and face 12 point deduction, its not like no one knew they'd get the deduction!

Sometimes they gamble.....

Sometimes they get relegated and have a squad on Premier league wages..... which they still have to pay, regardless

It's a tough old business,  you may live within your means at the time, then lose your Prem money, TV deals  gate money,  sponsorship goes down.....

All due to relegation.

That is something for the club, to sort out.... but is it right to have a 12 point deficit inflicted also......

I'm not convinced

I'm not convinced

The 12 point deduction must be there for a deterrent?

If they didn't have 12 point deduction and nothing happened to teams who gambled, everyone would be doing it with no consequences.

I'm not convinced

I think small EPL clubs have it written into contracts that if relegated their salary is a lot less

But i agree about the points

How many blind eyes have been turned on EPL clubs?

You dont think administration is a consequence?

Of course clubs gamble, every signing is a gamble..... Wigan were a Prem club for a number of years....

They went down, lost revenue and now they deal with its consequences.....

Kick them while they're down though....

They would need too, it makes sense to do that.
