I wonder what Iceland makes of this as they have a shitload of BOGOF fatty products and hugely popular for families on a tight budget

Boris Johnson targets checkout sweets and 'buy one, get one free' deals in national obesity plan

Junk food adverts will be banned on TV and online before 9pm and shops will not be allowed to display sweets and chocolates at checkouts as part of a national crackdown on obesity.

Boris Johnson is also putting an end to "buy one, get one free" promotions on high-fat products as part of his new "Better Health" campaign.

The prime minister is encouraging people up and down the country to lose weight to save the NHS time and money after his own brush with coronavirus in April.

step by step the nanny state cometh. decision making is being taken out of the public's hands by those who presume to know what is supposedly better for us. Of course this is being pushed by health 'experts' who can't make their minds up whether butter is healthy or bad for us, whether drinking wine is good for us or bad for us. And all these nutritionists who appear daily on the box advising us plebs where we go wrong will be having multiple orgasms at this news. What a shower of interfering cunts!....Rest of the UK beware....MUP will be with you soon!

Yeah they shouldn't be telling shops how to sell or display their products

Those making these calls don't have to worry about the cost of putting food on the table

Many times when i see BOGOF offers i take advantage of it and fill the freezer
