How can they sue for brain damage?

Why wasn't anything regarding safety brought up before?

Yeah it is very sad, but this will ruin Rugby no doubt and I can see people suing football too and heading of the ball will be banned.

Yes. It was ok when they were reeling in fat salaries though eh?

Playing all sports has risk associated with it. Obviously some more than others, but it is voluntary. They choose, no one forces them.

So, it's a nay from me.

Totally against this. As much as the effects of brain damage due to concussion are fairly recent but the RFU and other rugby organisations should be looking at ways of helping these guys and any others

Why should they?

They choose to do it. Would they be prepared to donate some of their salary to help the research? 🤔🤔

They did but the RFU and all the other rugby organisations have a duty of care to the people that played for them.  You know that big money in rugby is a fairly recent thing compared to football yes?   I have my opinion you have yours and saying to me why should they certainly doesn’t make for a compelling argument

They entered the sport of their own volition. Nobody conscripted them or twisted their arms.
In addition most of them were well rewarded during their time in the sport.

It's the new culture that someone must take the blame and pay up.

Agreed. It is like a one size fits all though with this blame culture we have today. Throw enough shite and some will stick.

I ain't buying it. They were free to choose. No one forced them.
