Mr Magnificent 3,597
Me and the wife was talking and we are putting the nipping incident down to nerves. Grandson is over tomorrow so we will see. @boro_boy We introduced the crate like you said and leave door open. He just goes in there for a lie down now when he is wigged out. It has been a huge help. Apparently he was the most popular dog in the pound with other dogs and never like that, but rescue agency advised that he has lost the security of the pack and will feel vulnerable. I think this can be overcome with work though.

Yeah keeping the door open, he'll start to associate it as his quiet place so when he's in there he'll not get bothered. Glad things are slowly starting to go okay with him 👍 Mr Magnificent

I was dead against it last week, but glad I gave it a go. 👍 boro_boy

Red Devil 901
To be honest we scraped the crate as we found our dog got very territorial over it, like Bastion said it becomes like their cave. He'd run off with one of my daughters toys and I'd be sent to get it, usually he'd drop it fine but he seemed to gain confidence in his own confined space. They are very useful to have in the house though.

We will leave it in place until he doesn't use it any longer. He spends most of his time in his regular bed in day time. He is associating the crate with night time too. As soon as he is comfortable to venture upstairs he will be in bed with me. boro_boy

I keep talking to him though in calm voices and he does calm down. My Mrs told my daughter today that I work very hard with the dog and have endless patience. That pleased me as i do try. Mr Magnificent 3,597
Forgot to say. I have collar and harness on him with a double ended clip lead. He so nearly slipped the harness today trying to get to that other dog. I would have been fucked if he had a the caller wasn't clipped in. He goes to ground, and almost slithers out of it. Tight fitting too but he ain't far off doing it. UNIQUE
