Gordon Elliot

I like the guy. Decent trainer with an excellent record up until now...

Looks like he is in a whole heap of trouble. Sponsors quitting and enquiries. He has obviously made a terrible error in judgement. Looks like he is going to pay a whopping price for it too. Hopefully he learns from it.

Banned from racing horses in Britain pending outcome of investigation.

I imagine Cheltenham is out then. Ouch!

The horses can be transferred to British trainers though can they not

dunno mate....never heard of that before. Looks quite complicated....ie: are they running for Ireland or UK, what do the owners think about that....Hmmm....not sure at all.

I guess the owners can have whatever trainer they want. It would involve a mass exodus from the Elliot stables though.

Cheltenham starts a fortnight tomorrow. Might take some doing!

utterly farcical Mak !

Not really mate.

The owners need a return on their investment mate.

If they can get a top horse in with a Nicholls or Henderson before Cheltenham then fair play.

That would be a right kick in the nuts for Elliot.

yeah, shoulda thought from that angle. However if they can get that done and the other trainers are agreeable, it certainly won't give them much time to get to know the horses and how to train them plus the likes of Nichols or Henderson etc will no doubt have their horses geared up for the specific races.
